The following links will take you to the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) website where you can find information regarding Texas Medicaid programs and the new Medicaid Managed Care system implemented Novemeber 1, 2016.
Texas Healthcare Medicaid Partnership - This is the website for the contractor that administers Texas' Medicaid program. TMHP is who answers the phone if you call Texas Medicaid. They determine if services are covered and at what rate they will be reimbursed. Start here for general questions about Medicaid.
Medicaid Managed Care - Health and Human Services (HHS) contracts with managed care organizations (MCOs) that are licensed by the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI). Medicaid Managed Care includes 5 programs through which clients receive benefits. These plans include: STAR, STAR+PLUS, STAR Health, STAR Kids, and Children's Medicaid Dental Services.
STAR Kids - Many of URS Medical's patients receive benefits through STAR Kids. STAR Kids provides benefits to children and adults 20 and younger who have disabilites.
